Okay, so I am going to finally admit that I do not know everything there is to know about football.  However, there is one game that I undoubtedly enjoy every year; The Superbowl.  Entertainment is present on the field during plays, with the halftime performances and even the consumer driven market has managed to get in on the fun.  Who doesn't love a good Superbowl add?  This one day out of the year marks the biggest marketing expo, where companies fight for a spot to show their commercial that had been in the works since last year. Now I am sure everyone has a favorite add.... From the Budweiser frogs to a man dressed up as a piece of sod... But do you remember what product or company the add was for? Some stick while others are just considered a waste on pure entertainment. What do you think an ad really needs to make a lasting positive impact on the consumer? Post your favorite ad!

Room for Improvement

"What's so special about marketing?" Is a question I have been asked from time to time, "All you do is think of commercials...".  However, marketing is much more than a bunch of educated dreamers trying to come up with the Academy Award of Super Bowl breaks.  Marketing is the process of managing relationships between producers and consumers.  Beginning at the turn of the century, after the major Industrial Revolution, competition between products began to grow at an unprecedented rate like never before.  The ability to mass produce brought choices to Americans at lower prices than ever.  Inventions such as the railroad, telegraph and radio brought information of products to far stretches of the country and created new chances for the creation of target markets.  Starting with print ads in newspapers and on storefronts, Advertisement has come a long way.  New media, technology and cultural changes have been constantly carrying marketing into the future, becoming an indispensable part of the current economy.  Today, marketing and advertisement is a billion dollar industry.  Obviously companies have come a long way with their marketing, using it to propel their business forward.  However, some of the world's most powerful companies have had their challenges along the way.  Apple computer is known for their catchy tunes and florissant silhouettes, smarmy mac men and PC nerds as well as exceptional products sweeping the market.  From the iPod to the iPad Apple continues to sweep the competition and provide customers with satisfaction, proving that Apple has come a long way in the past 30 years... Take a look!
